Bristol Encontro is back – and we’d love for you to be part of the celebration. Join us for three unforgettable days celebrating the spirit of Brazilian drums, percussion and songs as we bring together some of the best of Bristol and UK Afro-Brazilian groups, all for a high-energy weekend of music, movement, and community.

This year’s event will take place across multiple venues, featuring:
🎶 A lively Roda de Samba to kick things off
🔥 A two-day main event with performances, workshops, food, and stalls
🎧 An after-party on late Saturday into the early hours of Sunday morning

There’s also a kids tent – bring your kids, create a samba outfit, take part in the kids parade.
Artist Workshops
We will run two artist-only workshops, one per day. These are not open to the public, and artists may attend only on the day they are performing. Spaces are limited. Tickets go on sale Monday 23rd March. Instruments provided.
Please only book for your performance day. You must show your artist ticket for entry. No public access before 2:30pm.
Workshop attendees arrive at 11:45am for a 12pm start, finishing at 1:30pm.
Do not book if you are not performing. Tickets are non-refundable.

Volunteers
We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic team players, to be part of the event supporting us with welcoming artists and public, wrist banding, stewarding, artist liaison, merchandising, set up and take down.

Shifts available between 10am and 11pm each day
Campsite
And for the first time, we also need support at our campsite, (Bath Road, BS30 6HX)
Help us make this unique, not-for-profit event happen — and in return you’ll get free entry to the event, time off during your shift to enjoy the bands, a food voucher for one of our wonderful traders, a drink from our friends at Bristol Beer Factory.
